Olga Vlasova

Olga Vlasova has been living in New York City since 1995, when she immigrated to the U.S. from Latvia. Olga graduated summa cum laude from Hunter College in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Olga also has a Master of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology from The John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Before going to law school, Olga worked as a social worker and program coordinator, assisting victims of family violence and elder abuse in Brooklyn, NY. Olga went to law school because of her strong commitment to public interest work and social justice. She interned at various non-profit organizations, such as Advocates for Children and also volunteered at the NYC Department of Education where she did community outreach about free universal pre-K programs in poor communities of NYC. While in law school, Olga was a proud recipient of the Sparer Public Interest Law Fellowship, Carole Mehlman Gould Prize, the Gold Public Service Award and various scholarships. Olga graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School in June 2013.

Olga’s interest in special education law comes from personal experience while advocating for her own son who is developmentally disabled. Olga believes in the unlimited power of education and that all children can achieve their full potential when given the right support. Olga is very dedicated to making it a reality for her clients.

Olga joined the Law Offices of H. Jeffrey Marcus in 2011, during her second year of law school. She currently holds a position of an Associate Attorney. Olga is admitted to practice law in New York State and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Southern District of New York..
